As a Grade 1 Flight instructor and Designated Flight Examiner Jannie has more than 22 years of experience within the aviation industry training pilots for big names such as SAA and the SAPS as well as thousands flying hours at the controls of advanced aircraft such as the Beechcraft Baron, Beechcraft King Air, PC-12 and many more. Jannie personally makes sure that training standards at Loutzavia is of the highest possible standard making Loutzavia one of the best fliying schools in the country.
As chief charter pilot and head of charter operation, Henry makes sure that Loutzavia Charters can provide the safest and most professional service to each and every client. Henry is also head of Loutzavia Rand, a second branch of the Loutzavia group that was opened in order to accommodate our clients that stay in Johannesburg and the surrounding areas. As always Henry makes sure that the same standard of safety and professionalism in maintained when training pilots at Loutzavia Rand.
CHIEF FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR
At the age of 20 Gavin became the youngest flight instructor to graduate from Loutzavia. He has since gained enough experience to become a Grade 2 Flight Instructor, multi-engine instructor and the holder of an Airline Transport Pilot Licence. Gavin is currently working towards the needed experience in order to become a Designated Flight Examiner before progressing to a major airline
Steyn started his Private Pilots License with Loutzavia in January 2011 and has been an instructor at the school since late 2012. Steyn is currently working his way up towards the airlines where he aspires to be a training captain on the Boeing 777.
After starting his Private Pilots License in January 2013 Johan quickly progressed towards his Commercial Pilots License and in May 2014, after graduating as a flight instructor, Johan joined the team at Loutzavia. Johan hopes to one day join the ranks of a major airline as a training captain flying the Boeing 777 and 787..
Anine joined Loutzavia in 2013 to complete her CPL. During her training she worked part time as part of the Loutzavia team. After completing her Instructors Rating she started working full time as an instructor. From here on she would like to pursue opportunities in corporate flying.
After completing her PPL with Loutzavia in 2011, Tammy was accepted into the Comair Cadet programme and has since completed her CPL and instructors rating with Loutzavia. She now works as a Grade 2 instructor and hopes to fly for Comair in a few years.
Martin started with his PPL with Loutzavia in 2012. After completing all his training up to his Instructors rating he started working full time as an instructor. He would like to work for Cathay Pacific in the near future.
After completing his Private Pilots License in early 2015 Lourens joined the operations staff at Loutzavia and continues to play an important part in the everyday operation of the company. Lourens is currently completing his Commercial Pilots License and hopes to one day be an instructor at Loutzavia.
FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR / FLIGHT OPERATIONS MANAGER
Sakkie started with his PPL in January 2012 and completed his CPL by 2013. In order to fund his instructors rating he then went to work in the USA as a custom harvester. He started working full time in operations in 2016 while completing his Instructors rating and is now working as Operations Manager and Flight Instructor. He plans to fly sea planes in the near future.
Michael started at Loutzavia in 2012. He completed his CPL in 2016. He is currently finishing up his instructors rating and one day dreams to fly international flights, with a major airline.
Gideon started training with Loutzavia in 2012. After completing all his training he started giving instruction in February 2016. He plans on flying the Beechcraft 1900 in Africa and dreams of flying the Boeing 747-400 one day. His life motto is – “Ability may get you to the top, but its character that keeps you there” – John Wooden.
Jacques “Sous-man” started at Loutzavia in 2012. He has since completed his PPL and is currently busy studying towards his CPL and is part of the Operations team full time. He aspires to become a bush pilot and to one day fly a DC-3, Ilyushin 76 and C-130 Hercules.
CHIEF GROUND INSTRUCTOR
CJ started flying in 2011 and completed his instructors rating in September 2011. He plans on becoming a GR1 Flight Instructor and a Designated Flight Examiner. He plans on doing contract flying in Africa in the future.
